KSU Students, Have a Question? Call KSU INFO…

 

Putting students first means that we provide exceptional educational opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. It is also vital that KSU provide students with the support services they need that will enhance the learning environment and contribute to their overall success.

However, it can be a challenge for students to determine where to go to take care of a wide array of questions. It can feel like you need a Ph.D. to figure out how to get your question addressed. In service to our students, it’s time to make it simple to find answers.

This week, we are launching the KSU INFO Hotline. This is a dedicated phone number, 470-KSU-INFO (470-578-4636), that students can call and ask questions of staff and students about anything related to KSU. Whether it is a question about registering for classes or event schedules or procedures for graduation, the KSU INFO Hotline will have the answer or get a prompt answer.

As an added benefit, many of those staffing the hotline will be students themselves, which makes the question-and-answer process that much more comfortable for student callers. The University community benefits from any opportunity when students are helping students.

In addition, the Division of Enrollment Services launched a concierge team in early 2020, a team of staff members who proactively reach out to students about specific topics and available resources that assist with their progression toward graduation. The concierge team, which will also support the hotline, are beginning to reach out to seniors this month to answer questions about how to petition to graduate.

The one-stop phone line is being put in place to strengthen the student experience at KSU. We look forward to the opportunity to better serve our Owls.
