Update on Coronavirus

KSU is closely following and implementing all coronavirus guidelines as prescribed by the Georgia Department of Public Health. The health and well-being of our students, faculty and staff is our highest priority.

As of this morning, there are now two reported cases of the virus in the state of Georgia, but there are no reported cases of exposure to the virus at Kennesaw State. The Georgia Department of Public Health and the University System of Georgia have systems in place to monitor and address possible infectious diseases. In addition, KSU has comprehensive plans to address emergencies, including infectious diseases. KSU also has a working task force in place to monitor and plan appropriately.

As of the time this post was written, the CDC has issued a travel warning, recommending that individuals avoid all non-essential travel to China, South Korea, Italy and Iran. KSU has cancelled all study abroad programs for spring and summer for these countries. The university is working to ensure that impacted students are not adversely impacted financially and are offered courses to ensure continued academic progress.

Given the dynamic nature of this situation, KSU is regularly providing updates and we encourage all to visit KSU’s website at: https://healthadvisory.kennesaw.edu/.
